Ironwood Custom Homes
Looking to build your dream project. We offer a personalized catered approach to the home building. Materializing your vision and working closely with our clients to create a collaborative process that yields the highest quality results.
After years of building custom homes for clients under another contractor, I found that even at the end of a “successful” project clients were weathered and not completely satisfied with their brand new house. Often we brushed it off as project exhaustion or client personalities. I was determined to make my next season of houses superior to the last. Although dedicated to make real changes I was boxed into a conventional building structure that I could not branch out from. So the idea of Ironwood Customs was formed. Stepping away from the Company I had worked hard to develop for many years to start over once again. Rededicated to building the highest quality customs homes that customers and ourselves could be proud to showcase.
Humble Start
A look at Ironwoods first project as a new company.
Jumping into our first job in the winter of 2024, A modern Mexican American inspired renovation on this early 90s era home. Main focus on an inviting kitchen that displays warmth and comfort.
Working with the clients and designer to personally curate this kitchen to meet their needs hosting family and friends. Incorporating a large kitchen island to house guests as meals are being made and then transitioning into the formal dining space where guest can feel comfortable conversing throughout the evening.
Some Challenges we faced while crafting the design for this kitchen were creating enough storage while trying to leave the kitchen feeling more open than it was prior to renovations.
A staple piece that brought the Mexican American aesthetic to this kitchen was the custom range hood. This 38’ wide Venetian Plaster hood draws your attention instantly. Square to curved profile shows a balance between modern and rustic. Finished with a troweled texture gives the hood some character amongst the bright white shaker style cabinetry.

A Finished Project
What Makes a House a Home
The final touches on this full kitchen remodel. All shaker cabinets installed; our custom quartz countertops are installed. offering a clean surface while providing some depth in the veining. Finished hardware is a mix of brass and brushed nickel, a combination of modern and classical design. The last pop of color added to this kitchen is the Terra-Cotta backsplash picked out by our designer. The Ceramic tile has a natural edge which brings a more rustic feel to this project. A few more personal touches and some styling and our first project as Ironwood Customs is wrapped. Completed in just under 2 months and on budget leaving owner and contractor mutually satisfied with this project.
